Hey everyone! Darkfeather here!

Starting today, the 13th of September, people that go to the library might notice that Wan Shi Tong is strangely absent.

He'll be gone for a week, getting his death penalty removed. He'll then return briefly on the 20th, and people might overhear him talking about "how he remembers everything" and being generally agitated. Though not particularly violent, just angry.

The droids will then come for him that same day and he'll be mallynapped. Anyone can feel free to witness that if they want to, also.

He will then again be gone for a week and return late on the night of the 27th. Except, he'll have been turned into a dark spirit. I won't get into too much detail here if people haven't seen Book 2 of the Legend of Korra, cause spoilers. But he'll be larger, scarier, and very angry and destructive. Pretty much just out of control.

Naturally, someone is going to have to stop him! Without killing him again and starting the whole cycle over.

So! Plotting time! I'll be making a log for this on the 27th. Anyone is free to join in!

Basically what I need is some people to help with "crowd control" to try and keep people from wanting to kill Wan Shi Tong again. Korra is pretty much the only one that can really stop him, but until that point... Anyone that wants to help with trying to calm him down/prevent more destruction/keep people from killing him, would be great! Or if anyone wants to fight him, that's cool too! Just as long as he doesn't die. That's all I'm asking.

Also, he'll pretty much just be destroying unoccupied houses unless someone wants to volunteer their own houses or buildings! That would be pretty keen. Depending on that, I can then decide where exactly the attack will happen.

So anyway! Any comments, questions, ideas, etc, just post them here or contact me on Plurk! I'm BlackPidgeot on there.

Heyyyy friends, who's ready for the 2nd annual Luceti Speed Dating?

Speed Dating, what!? Yes! Last year, Billy and Teddy hosted a Speed Dating day in honour of the creation of the LGBT club- planned here, actual event here! Apparently some folks met and married thanks to it, aww yeah :B Let's make some more success stories!

Like last year, this will not be limited to people in the LGBT spectrum! It won't be that much different from last year, actually, aside from some perks here and there to make it a little more interesting, but here's the basic gist, more or less the same:

  • As mentioned above, there’s no limitation of who’s involved. Characters don't have to join or be in the club, they just need to be cool with the concept.
  • Everyone will be encouraged to give it a try and talk to as many people as possible!
  • Billy will ask everyone to fill out a form (in the textbox below) to categorize them according to preference, gender, etc. as well as what they're looking for.
  • They'll get partnered up with one person for the duration of the "date"; sample questions can be provided for the quiet types. A signal will be given and they'll move on to the next person until it's over.
  • After the speed-date characters can rate their partner (whether or not they'd like to date/talk to them again), their partner will do the same, and Billy will tell people who their matches were afterwards.

The plan is to run it this coming Saturday, August 2nd.

If you'd like to participate, please fill this in:

Once we have everyone signed up with little textbox survey filled out, we’ll organize the results and list who will be paired up with whom for the speed dating in another post before the log goes up. Characters should end up with multiple partners, and whoever tags the log first should be tagged by whoever got their name. If only some or none of your partners are on the log feel free to make your own thread. They should have a 10 minute conversation with the person and try to learn as much as they can about one another until the whistle is blown and they move on to the next person. Players can decide ICly or OOCly how much they can get done in those ten minutes (eg. how long the chat lasts), then they get to rate their partner and decide if they’re interested in seeing that person again. So as an example:

Person A is female, bi, looking for friendship and romance.
Person B is male, heterosexual, looking for romance.
Person C is female, homosexual, looking for friendship.

Person A would be paired with B and C, Person B would be paired only with A, and Person C would be paired only with A. Billy will encourage everyone to at least sign up for romance, though, since that’s kind of the point of speed dating. And friendship as well, just to keep people moving around and talking, and not standing by waiting for the next round.

If anyone ends up with no partners for any round, though, they will be invited to hang out at the host table and gossip about the others |D there will also, like last year, be a mingling area where people who have nothing to do can just bum around. After the speed dating is done there should be a follow-up OOC post about ratings so we can organize who did well together. I think I kind of failed at this one, so if it doesn't happen this year, someone please poke me >_>;

Feedback and questions can go below, and if you can think of any way to improve this or make it better than last year, ideas are welcome!

Additionally: Like last year, characters can sign up other people if they want, but they need to be responsible for convincing them to actually participate. Billy can't force anyone to be a part of it. So try to keep that in mind when you're signing people up! (Also, if a character is signed up by anyone other than themselves, please make a note of it in your comment!

There's been talk here and there, and now that I've got the clear here's a player plot for you guys to enjoy! Introducing something a little darker than what's been going on recently, a little evil and devious, a force resurfacing for revenge...

Hi, all. Pi here! First off, I've been a little burnt out lately, as some of you might have noticed from my glacial tagging. All of my apologies for that, by the way... As such, while I'm going to do a round of tags on the event log tomorrow, I'm also calling a little hiatus until I feel better. I don't have a set date in mind beyond I don't plan to be gone for long - I wouldn't even mention it here if not for one thing.

Plotting! Some of you might have seen that about a month ago, Shikamaru had an IC interest-gathering post regarding paving Luceti's roads. He got enough positive feedback there that he would make a more serious proposal for it in offscreen land, but I decided to postpone it until the extra community houses were removed.

Once I get off my hiatus and throw him back into things, I'd like to get started on that in one direction or another (it happening or being put off), so I open the floor to you guys! Most importantly, I want to know if anybody else is interested in this idea. If you guys are, that leaves just two things:

1. How many characters would be willing to participate?
2. When would you like to do it? It could be staggered and done over several weeks, all at once; hell, it could be put off until Spring when it's warmer.

Thanks for any feedback!

Recently, Nagato got it into his head, with the help of Yuffie, that he should organize a grand scale game of Ninja Hide and Seek.

How this game would work:
- 'finding' someone requires stealing a scarf or ribbon off of them before you can say you found them.
- No abilities are barred, though this is not a game intended to cause any injuries!
- There will be teams. How big these teams are has yet to be decided.
- Once everyone from a team is out, those people wait until teams are shuffled for the next round.
- Whoever has teammates left that haven't been 'found' wins the round!

The reason for this instead of individual seekers is that, well, ninja, and the ribbon/scarf stealing is to avoid say, a Hyuuga from just going 'I see you!'

So... who wants to play a little hide and seek? Anyone at all will be invited to this, and I want to see who is interested before I start bigger organizing and the like.

Hello everyone! This is Gore here with some player plot news. If you remember back a few months we first brought these Tutus into Luceti, we based a plot around returning Mytho's heart shards to him. Basically, his heart shards arrive separately from him and can infect other people; Princess Tutu can cure the infected people through ballet and return them back to Mytho.

We did manage to clear some of the shards with the precious Duck/Tutu, but now that we have a new one and we wound up losing most of the remaining volunteers, I'm restarting sign-ups for people who want their characters to be infected by one of the five remaining heart shards. You can sign up at the new plotting post here. Feel free to ask questions or make suggestions! And have a good time.

Hey guys!! Bayley here. SO THIS IS LATE, apologies for that! Art Club would have been held last Sunday, the 13th. In light of Halloween, which Rapunzel and Ikki have taken an interest in since last year, this month's meeting featured milk jug skeletons! So yeah, if your character attended, they got to make one of these rad things. It's the bee's knees. The cat's pajamas. And so forth. There were also some fall-themed cookies from the bakery available for consumption!

If you're new to the game, Luceti has a monthly Art Club run by Rapunzel and Ikki that's held the second Sunday of every month. Occasionally we have logs to thread out these meetings, but most of the time they are just handwaved. There's no official channel your character has to go through to join! There's posters at the school and Welcome Center advertising it, and Rapunzel and Ikki are happy to strong arm accept anyone into their club. The member list is here so feel free to add your character if they want to join.

And that's it! Questions are welcome as usual.

Hey everyone, quick reminder that the House of M player plot is starting in three days, so if you're interested in that (or missed it the first time around) go read the post and SIGN UP! /o/ This is just so I know who Billy's AU is affecting and how. Please do this so I know what's going on!

If the post is too much tl;dr to ping interest, it's basically a chance to give your character a perfect life for a week :B Funtimes, yo.

Second note is that I'm sadly going to drop Fluttershy. She had a better run than last time, but ultimately she's just not my character type. A huge thank you to everyone who threaded with her! I had a lot of fun playing her while I did.

Please manage_circle del_read shying or hover-trick on [personal profile] shying.

As a footnote to the House of M stuff, as of this afternoon Billy and Teddy will be kidnapped to get things kicked off. When Billy returns on the 1st, House of M will kick off, and there'll be a log posted for shenanigans!

Hey-o! This is just an OOC note that all art club members (since I know not everyone in it is on my plurk) received IC notice from Rapunzel & Ikki that the art club is not a thing today - since the 11th is in fact the 2nd Sunday of the month. They're instead delaying it to next week (the 18th) since neither girl actually feels like running the club for the day. WHOOPS. This is ICly the first time they've officially cancelled something, so we figured it was worth nothing. Thank you!
selfhelp: ([billy] this moment is magic.)

Hello everyone, today is the magical day of Speed Dating 101!

Remember the sign-ups from last week? Well, they've been organized. Somehow. The IC log will be going live sometime today (probably after I've slept, eh-heh) but I wanted to post the roster so you guys can do any plotting beforehand if you like. It was easier to Googledoc it, so the spreadsheet is HERE. There are tabs are for both Friendship and Romantic pairs, so check each of them if you signed up for both. (If you have difficulty with Googledocs, comment below with your character's name and I'll give you the roster directly.)

A few notes:

  • As you'll notice, there's a lot of names on those lists. Since there were a lot of nonspecific preferences in the sign-ups (as well as mixed-up answers) some poor suckers have about 30 partners! That would be a lot of threads, even if they could be short. So if you feel overwhelmed by the number, feel free to talk amongst yourselves, handwave, or just assume there wasn't enough time to get through everyone. Thread however much you're comfortable with |Db
  • All of the partnering was done based on how the characters were signed up, so any errors based on preference is probably due to that. Billy did his best and made some guesswork if the answers were confusing, so some pairings might be a bit wonky.
  • Since Billy has no idea of who has existing CR/are castmates/whatever for the most part, characters might be paired with people they know! If that's the case they can either skip out on that turn or chat them up anyway. He left out a few that he did know (for friendship, anyway).
  • If Billy saw any sign-ups he knew were wrong, he corrected them. (Case in point being Richard getting signed-up for heteromance.)
  • As stated previously, Billy's not going to force anyone to come. An invitation with the date and time of the event would've been sent out to every character signed up, but that's the extent of his convincing. Your character (or your character's friends) are responsible for getting them there.
  • If there are any glaring errors that's due to organizational mix-up and you can't live without it being fixed, do tell me! I can fix it!!

I think that's pretty much it :B Questions/issues/whatever go in my thread below, and feel free to plot in this entry or elsewhere, as you please.

EDIT: Due to the lists being done and spread around and plotting in-progress I WILL BE ACCEPTING NO MORE SIGN-UPS FOR THIS EVENT. Sorry dudes.

Hey there everybody! Remember when Billy posted about the LGBT Club in April? Well, we’ve got two things that need addressing in regards to that:

1) When should the club meet? So far the best idea day-wise is during weekends, but time-wise and how often it happens is sort of in the wind. Suggestions would be great!

2) Speed Dating!? Thanks to that post, he also struck up a proposal while talking to Korra (here) to run a speed dating event. This will not be limited to people in the LGBT spectrum! Basically the club is sometimes an LGBTQA now to include allies, whee? And to kick things off, he wants everyone to have some fun and get to know one another. So here’s the idea:

  • As mentioned above, there’s no limitation of who’s involved. Characters don't even have to join the club, they just need to be cool with the concept. (We still have a Hulk.)
  • Everyone will be encouraged to give it a try and talk to as many people as possible c:
  • Billy will ask everyone to fill out a survey (in the textbox below) to categorize them according to preference, gender, age, etc. as well as what they’re looking for.

In addition to the textarea stuff, we’d also like to know when a good date for doing this is. It’d only be for a couple of hours, probably on a Saturday or Sunday, since that’s when the club itself will probably run. Next week? The week after? When are people interested? Let me know, and there’ll be a log for it. /o/

If you'd like to participate, please fill this in:

Basically the idea is that once we have everyone signed up with little textbox survey filled out, we’ll organize the results and list who will be paired up with whom for the speed dating in another post before the log goes up. Characters should end up with multiple partners, and whoever tags the log first should be tagged by whoever got their name. If only some or none of your partners are on the log feel free to make your own thread. There will be instructed to have a 10 minute conversation with the person and try to learn as much as they can about one another until the whistle is blown and they move on to the next person.

Person D is male, heterosexual, looking for sexual.

Person A would be paired with B and C, Person B would be paired only with A, and Person C would be paired only with A. Person D is paired with no one because they need to shift their goddamn expectations. |D Billy will encourage everyone to at least sign up for romance, though, since that’s kind of the point of speed dating. And friendship as well, just to keep people moving around and talking, and not standing by waiting for the next round.

If anyone ends up with no partners for any round, though, they will be invited to hang with Billy and Teddy at the host table and gossip about the others. There will be fabulous cookies. (Guess what Teddy you’re baking!) After the speed dating is done there should be a follow-up OOC post about ratings so we can organize who did well together. And let some long-term CR build from there! :D

Feedback and questions would be awesome, make it so :B

EDIT: Characters can sign up other people if they want, but they need to be responsible for convincing them to actually participate. Billy can't force anyone to be a part of it. So try to keep that in mind when you're signing people up! (Also, if a character is signed up by anyone other than themselves, please make a note of it in your comment!

Hey there, this is Boba with a couple announcements regarding the school and the upcoming Cultural Festival. Lucy beat me to the punch with the initial festival announcement (figures we'd plan to do this on the same day, eh), but I'll try to elaborate a little more here.

The school will be seeing two new teachers: Moiraine Damodred and Frederic Francois Chopin. Moiraine will primarily be teaching language arts (a.k.a. writing) and magic, and will retroactively have begun teaching at the beginning of this month (May). Frederic will of course be teaching music alongside the current music teacher, Jack Vessalius, and will take up his post this coming Monday, May 13th. Students, take note!

In other news, staging for the newly annual Cultural Festival is scheduled to begin on June 5th, with festivities officially starting on the 7th and continuing on through the weekend. The art club is putting up fliers currently, and Helios Sprensonne will be announcing it to the village at large in the next day or two.

"What is this Cultural Festival thing?" you ask?? Why, it is as the name suggests: a village-wide festival celebrating the multitude of cultures that Luceti inhabitants have come from. Characters will all be invited to set up booths, stages, displays, and what have you showcasing aspects of their culture from back home. These things can range from food to fashion to music to games. For example, a Brit like Layton might think about setting up an area for people to try playing cricket, or folks from Avatar might band together and put a collection of [Element] Nation clothing on display. Plays, demonstrations, and other such performances are also all on the table. The sky's the limit!

This is just a heads up. Feel free to use the post for questions, comments, and plotting.
breezing: (+ introductions.)
[personal profile] breezing
It is that time of month again for the Art Club meeting! TODAY members new and old gather round (as always anyone is accepted even if they don't want to join, although new members are always welcomed without any real initiation save being made to introduce themselves) - ANYWAY, they gather round to ADVERTISE. Or, rather, make posters for the CULTURE FAIR, which will then be plastered around town wherever co-presidents Ikki and Rapunzel get permission to hang them up. There is no set standard for posters except that it has the dates on it (JUNE 5TH - 12TH) and the location (the plaza).

They also strongly suggest members go to the fair (for those not in the know, it's basically a fair where you set up world sharing exhibits or whatever you want - paper mache townscapes are acceptable, and is an example given by Ikki, who thinks everyone should be involved) and have their own booths and make them artsy but as usual none of this is a requirement - people can just go to the meeting and do whatever. Refreshments are, as usual, provided.

There's also a non-advertising activity on the side, which is namely decorating mugs, which were made...last time. Because we forgot to do last month's GUESS WHAT YOU DID. edit: They will also be decorating several sets of pool balls, commissioned by the lovely Buffy Summers. GO TEAM, GO.

To anyone not in the art club, expect to see a lot of posters around starting today and lasting into the fair, oftentimes with an overdose of glitter, which the co-presidents strongly endorse.

And that's pretty much it, Lucy and Bayley out.

Loki's been bored and at loose ends since the portal failed spectacularly. So he's been working on a prank for the last several weeks. Really, it's a proof of concept test run, but it looks like it's just for amusement, which is the important part. I thought maybe it could be a fun thing that other people might be interested in.

This is how it would work: sometime in the middle of the month, I'm thinking probably the 16th or 17th, there will be a lovely layout of cupcakes in a few heavily trafficked areas of the village. (I'll put up a log for this.) The cupcakes would be decorated with jellybeans of various flavors. Eat a cupcake (and more importantly the jelly bean that goes with it), get a silly or humiliating or scary magical effect that will last for a few hours.

I'm thinking things like:
- Every time the person tries to go into a bathroom, the door instead dumps them into a different room of someone else's house.
- Turning into a human mood ring, with a colorful aura corresponding to emotion. (Or does it. Maybe it just lulls you into thinking that and starts turning whatever color will make things worse later.)
- Having a pair of illusory underpants on your head that you can't see but everyone else can.
- Barry White voice because yes, I know I've done this before but I found it very amusing.
- Becoming temporarily invisible.

...etc. And I am definitely looking for suggestions as well! I just want the magical effects to be non-deadly and not overtly harmful, since he's going to be playing the Can't you take a joke? defense to the hilt. Of course, the intensely creepy implications behind this prank are also there for anyone who cares to think about it a bit more deeply.

Sound at all fun? Suggestions?

Hi there! Mon/Monface here. I thought I'd pitch a little idea and see if something can come of it. I'm not too great at 'bigger' plans though, so bear with me and the occasional disorganization of my thoughts.

Isaac here is a sorcerer whose business is with dark magic/energy. Knowing how to draw it from the environment and harness it is part of the devil forging process he carried out back home. As a Devil Forgemaster, what he technically would be able to do is use his power to draw dark energies to him, negate it, and disperse it; this is exactly what his fellow Forgemaster does at the end of the game to get rid of a curse plaguing Europe.

Now here's where things get a little more interesting. I understand that there are some cursed characters here in Luceti. If someone needed help and wanted to give it another shot, Isaac could try to draw it from their bodies so long as he feels like it's worth his time. He'd demand a trade - gems, good metals, interesting weapons? We can work things out.  Highly depending on each individual situation, the preferences of muns with cursed characters, and so on, Isaac could be successful at this. I don't want to assume he would be because while he does have skill, shit happens. Or the curse might just be super stubborn. And on that note I was thinking as another option, what would happen if instead of releasing a person of a powerful curse or unwanted dark energies, he accidentally ends up absorbing it in one case?

Depending on the nature of what he was trying to draw out, it could have any number of interesting effects. Isaac has a canon resistance to dark-based attacks, but I figure a sudden surge of darkness flowing into him is different than being struck with black magic or a darkness-infused weapon. As it is, he's already flowing with Dracula's magic (sometimes also referred to as demonic energy or the devil's art). Any number of things could happen also based on how I decide it might interact with his own power; he could be physically transformed into something twisted, gain power at the cost of steadily wasting away because it's too much for his body to handle (?); or it could also ramp up his aggression, paranoia, and resentment of humans to a point where it drives him to try and wreak havoc in/around the village. That could be neat.

I'd just love to explore this ability of his in some way and it could also be a good opportunity for CR! Thanks for your time!

I noticed that there hasn't been a New Feather party in a while and, since apps just opened, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a New Feather Party log. Since it's been a while, I was having trouble remembering if there was ever a set group that organized New Feather Parties and didn't want to step on any toes, so I thought I'd throw this out there.

I don't have any specific ideas for themes or anything beyond a really simple party/mingle log since there hasn't been one in a while, but feel free to suggest things and if you would want your character to be ICly involved in set up. If there's interest, I was thinking of throwing up the log on May 24th give or take a few days. The party would ICly be announced a week prior (unless it would be better to handwave the actual announcement.) However, I'm more than willing to change the date depending on player plots, apps and the like.

Okay, so here's the dealio. While Ganondorf's voice is still strong, I've come to the conclusion that Luceti's not working for him in the long term. He's no good for any kind of redemption arc and he's sort of set in his ways. But I always say, if you're going to play a Big Bad, they should go out with a Big Bang.

So my projected idea is this: Ganondorf gets punished by the Malnosso and goes through a week or so in some depowered capacity. He comes back ticked off, having realized his opposition and planning didn't pan out. He snaps and decides that the only way to hurt the Malnosso is to rob them of their test subjects- by killing all of them. I'll have a proper plotting post for this once the draft is over, but I want to gauge some interest. I'd like this to be more or less game-wide, but I know that there may be people who don't want to be super involved.

Anyway, a general idea of things to expect:
  • Ganondorf will enchant animals in the forest and have them attack people. Primarily this is a distraction, but they'll be trying to kill people. So expect things like wolves, bears, bucks, wild boars, and other animals to get bigger, stronger, and much more aggressive. There may be other monster variations too.
  • He will try to mind control people who are vulnerable to persuasion or are weak minded. They'll likewise go attacking people. Anyone who has already made pacts with beforehand will kind of be running the show for anyone who wants a piece of that.
  • He'll use a curse (like the one in The Wind Waker) to make it night time and constantly pouring rain. It won't break until he's killed.
  • Big battle with Ganondorf. Multiple stages with different people to fight him at different points. Probably three/four-way fights? Still working this part out. I'll probably need someone who has a weapon similar to the Master Sword to deal the final blow.

I'm looking at making this happen around the 14th, schedule permitting. So this is a heads up for people. So give me a heads up if you have any ideas, concerns, or what have you!
