Not an intro - just scoping interest for potential plotty things in the future.
Hi there! Mon/Monface here. I thought I'd pitch a little idea and see if something can come of it. I'm not too great at 'bigger' plans though, so bear with me and the occasional disorganization of my thoughts.
Isaac here is a sorcerer whose business is with dark magic/energy. Knowing how to draw it from the environment and harness it is part of the devil forging process he carried out back home. As a Devil Forgemaster, what he technically would be able to do is use his power to draw dark energies to him, negate it, and disperse it; this is exactly what his fellow Forgemaster does at the end of the game to get rid of a curse plaguing Europe.
Now here's where things get a little more interesting. I understand that there are some cursed characters here in Luceti. If someone needed help and wanted to give it another shot, Isaac could try to draw it from their bodies so long as he feels like it's worth his time. He'd demand a trade - gems, good metals, interesting weapons? We can work things out. Highly depending on each individual situation, the preferences of muns with cursed characters, and so on, Isaac could be successful at this. I don't want to assume he would be because while he does have skill, shit happens. Or the curse might just be super stubborn. And on that note I was thinking as another option, what would happen if instead of releasing a person of a powerful curse or unwanted dark energies, he accidentally ends up absorbing it in one case?
Depending on the nature of what he was trying to draw out, it could have any number of interesting effects. Isaac has a canon resistance to dark-based attacks, but I figure a sudden surge of darkness flowing into him is different than being struck with black magic or a darkness-infused weapon. As it is, he's already flowing with Dracula's magic (sometimes also referred to as demonic energy or the devil's art). Any number of things could happen also based on how I decide it might interact with his own power; he could be physically transformed into something twisted, gain power at the cost of steadily wasting away because it's too much for his body to handle (?); or it could also ramp up his aggression, paranoia, and resentment of humans to a point where it drives him to try and wreak havoc in/around the village. That could be neat.
I'd just love to explore this ability of his in some way and it could also be a good opportunity for CR! Thanks for your time!

Definitely interested in pursuing Forgemaster stuff here; I wish I had jumped on this earlier with Isaac or Hector, but ... timing. I've got an idea or two on what Albert might trade for Isaac's services, and it'll be interesting to see what comes out of trying to absorb a curse like Moro's. I know Rudy-mun was looking into your post too, so that'd be two people with Moro's curse.

Then it might be best that he doesn't end up taking it all into himself while drawing it out, for I haven't intentions of killing him quite yet. XD Canon's really short on details... but if he's still sane, I figure he'd want to try to pull it out of himself. It'd be difficult especially when he's suffering at the same time, no doubt. Just a delightful, colossal mess, this. Exciting, though!
And then there's Rudy too... /chinrub

Moro left a hell of a goodbye present. :|

I've got another cursed kid here. I see you already spoke with Athena, and as mentioned before I'd be interested in this potential idea too. c: I admit I hadn't been aware that Issac was capable of dealing with curses, or even one like Moro's for that matter. This sounds like it'll be very interesting indeed!
My only trouble spot with Rudy so far is coming up with a suitable trade for Issac's services -- I'm not sure if Rudy has much that'll be of interest to him. And if you need help with Issac "advertising" of such... I might have an idea? Possibly?

Yeah, Isaac can be astoundingly picky about rewards and such. Verbal gratitude and such doesn't fill him with warm fuzzy feelings. XD
But right, back to Rudy! I do have an upcoming entry along the way that miiiight help a little with the advertising bit though that would only come up depending on things he might be asked. And if characters don't find themselves turned away by his experiments. :P But I'm curious -- what's on your mind?

Not one for verbal gratitude, eh? Which is understandable, since it sounds like it'd be a painful task for the guy! :c And as far as interesting weapons go, Rudy's only got his ARM and I'm not sure it would be of any use to Issac. =|a But either way, Rudy would be in Issac's debt. If Issac is the type, he could take advantage of that? If not, I'm sure we can work something out!
As for my idea, it's nothing terribly big, but if Issac needs any extra nudging I could have Rudy make a (not-so-subtle) post regarding the subject?

We'll see! He's been going for more material things ever since someone who 'owed' him (or so he thought, at least) ended up disappearing from Luceti before he could really get anything out of it. But no worries about this since it's also like Isaac to be unpredictable. So I could see him 'charging' someone right away, and with another person, tell 'em not to worry about it and then pounce at another time. XD That could be what happens here.
