Plot Thing

Okay, so here's the dealio. While Ganondorf's voice is still strong, I've come to the conclusion that Luceti's not working for him in the long term. He's no good for any kind of redemption arc and he's sort of set in his ways. But I always say, if you're going to play a Big Bad, they should go out with a Big Bang.

So my projected idea is this: Ganondorf gets punished by the Malnosso and goes through a week or so in some depowered capacity. He comes back ticked off, having realized his opposition and planning didn't pan out. He snaps and decides that the only way to hurt the Malnosso is to rob them of their test subjects- by killing all of them. I'll have a proper plotting post for this once the draft is over, but I want to gauge some interest. I'd like this to be more or less game-wide, but I know that there may be people who don't want to be super involved.

Anyway, a general idea of things to expect:

Ganondorf will enchant animals in the forest and have them attack people. Primarily this is a distraction, but they'll be trying to kill people. So expect things like wolves, bears, bucks, wild boars, and other animals to get bigger, stronger, and much more aggressive. There may be other monster variations too.

He will try to mind control people who are vulnerable to persuasion or are weak minded. They'll likewise go attacking people. Anyone who has already made pacts with beforehand will kind of be running the show for anyone who wants a piece of that.

He'll use a curse (like the one in The Wind Waker) to make it night time and constantly pouring rain. It won't break until he's killed.

Big battle with Ganondorf. Multiple stages with different people to fight him at different points. Probably three/four-way fights? Still working this part out. I'll probably need someone who has a weapon similar to the Master Sword to deal the final blow.

I'm looking at making this happen around the 14th, schedule permitting. So this is a heads up for people. So give me a heads up if you have any ideas, concerns, or what have you!

Still up for mind control, because I totally have a soft spot for that. So have one volunteer for manipulated minion!

If no one else volunteers who has a weapon similar to the Master Sword, Leonhardt's Kernviter does have a lot in common with it, the big one being that current going theories about canon do have that it was made by and given to him by the goddess of his world (by theory, I mean the theory is more on what the being is who gave it to him).

I am of course down with this and can already think of ways for all my characters to participate. Ralph of course can be good mind control fodder. Aang, Lee and Kurt can probably all take on supportive roles/focus on the animals and/or minibosses (although Aang going a round against Ganon could also be cool), and Jade could probably be the most hands-on of my group in terms of helping to coordinate others and also fighting with his spear and fonic artes.

Aang being part of the fray would be cool. It depends on how many people get involved, really. (And I still like the idea of Ralph going bad for it)

I am so in for this. It's a fitting end to a hatemance. (And Loki might like Luceti, but it's where he keeps his stuff right now. And his girlfriend. Geeze Ganon, way to be a dick.)

And even more fitting if helping kill Ganon will help Loki convince even more people he's turning into a good guy. XD BECAUSE LULZ.

Definitely. Of course, Loki is pretty potent magic-wise, so I'm curious about how that would go. Unless Ganondorf gets some more powerups, Loki probably has him beat in the magic department.

Well, I'm definitely down for Haru getting involved in the fight against Ganondorf, Big Damn Hero that he is.

As for the final blow, well... his Ravelt is noted to be a holy sword specifically for slaying evil, so... If you can't get someone else, I can volunteer. It doesn't technically count as CR for us, after all!

Sounds like a solid option. There's a few others too, so it looks like it'll definitely have to come down to some RNG. That said, even if he's not doing to killing blow, he might be good for magical volleyball. It's Ganon's favorite sport.

Daisy wouldn't get to make the killing shot, but perhaps something else would? She doesn't have any holy/supernatural weapons, so the task of killing Ganon would be fit for somebody else.

That, and as she's more focused on securing people, maybe she could be doing something like that, if not fighting against him.

If you'd like to mind control this half breed here I'd be alright with that. Seeing as she's more animal minded then human.

And if you want/need a fighter I'm always happy to offer Vash up to be help defend. He's a bit too use to fighting off mind/body controlling powers. Although he has been mentally struggling with himself lately so I suppose if you'd like to play out someone struggling to resist I would be happy to go that route too.

Either way this sounds like a great way to let a big bad go out and I'm happy to help in anyway I can!

I would love to have Kotetsu involved in some way with this! Elicia possibly, though maybe just be attacked by an animal and come out pretty okay. I'd have to ask her canonmates and ask if they'd be interested in helping her out, or anything like that. Heck, even having someone mind controlled attack her as a bridging narrative thing, so someone can duke it out with said mind controlled dude, would be cool, since it's always good to point out to her how dangerous Luceti can be from time to time. But definitely would like to check in with Batty and Akai if they're interested. They might wanna cool their people down from the recent Pride Plot, so I might leave her off the plotting table depending. :|a

BUT KOTETSU, DEFINITELY. He'd probably do best fighting off someone with mind control, since I don't see him being much good against Ganon (he's really not all that tough compared to a lot of people in Luceti, so sad). Though he can be kicked to the side during any of those three/four-way parts if you need any extra punching baggage, because that's just how he [literally] tends to roll. Getting tossed around is always a good addition to a fight.

(Basically I don't care where he falls into, this just sounds like a fun plot to jump in)

Ahh, Storm's gonna want to know what's up once it starts raining like crazy. (I wonder if she can put a stop to that?)

That said, I'd like for her to get a chance at the big battle! Not the killing blow, certainly, but given that she's interacted with him on a civil basis before, she'll want to at least try talking to him (and failing that, getting pulled into the fight.) What do you think?

AND THEN I had a really nasty idea about Vanellope getting caught in the action if Ralph does end up getting possessed. but. I'll need to think about that ahahaha

The storm is gonna come from a curse. So Storm (and Saori) have more weather control than he does, so they can sweep it away, but it'll come back if left unattended for too long.

Her trying to talk him out of it could be cool, though. I think there will be opportunities to interact with him outside of the big battles.

I probably will stick with coming back on the 20th, but I am up for anything once Naoki gets back, doing damage control or making a dynamic entry to the final battle. Before that though, he'll come back as a kid, so may need people to help him out if things get hairy. Demi-Fiend has already taken on the likes of Beelzebub, the four horsemen, Metatron, and has eveb gone to to toe with Dante from the old DMC, and waa created with the help of Lucifer himself. Unfortunately, he doesn't have pierce.

I'd like to have Goku involved in the fighting in some capacity, if possible - he wouldn't involved in the end of the plot, given that he lacks anything holy to do major damage to Ganondorf with, but I'd think that Goku would be able to slow him down or keep him from killing people, at least. If there's too much going on with Ganondorf as it is, he can fight mind-controlled people or animals - whatever works.

It's probably for the best to do the latter, since Goku would very easily overwhelm Ganondorf, no matter what tricks he managed to roll out.

Derek would be useless in the showdown aspect, being baseline human, but I can see him defending folks from the animals. Other than 'bigger and badder', what would I need to know about the animals that are controlled?

Hiccup would be prime mind-control real estate, and we could get Toothless in on that as well since Hiccup would be pretty much useless as a minion on his own. Also, Tony would be involved in some capacity in trying to stop Ganondorf, and maybe Korra, too.

Toothless and Hiccup would be pretty awesome. I'm down for that. (Ditto on Tony and Korra, though obvs you should probably just pick one if you want a direct confrontation)

Would magic neutralizing be any help against Ganondorf? Like would it be able to help others do damage to him better without the use of a master sword?

Also volunteer though. Sora uses the keyblade from the realm of light so it might be able to act as a pseudo master sword?

Okay I've been weighing on it and as much as I'd love Garroh to hero it here because of the irony, he is sort of the most easily influenced person ever not even using magic so something which would be Ironic and probably more IC would be for him to think he's using Ganon for a power jack and he'll kill him later but he actually gets mind gooshed. or something.

Also Rin for heroing and I'd love to get him on a final fight but that's looking crowded already. IF it's too crowded I can just go with him saving people elsewhere
