Okay we have had posts like this before other AUs, so let's do it again. In case you forgot, all the event details are over here. This post has two purposes:

1) Talk about your AU and what you will be doing with it. Maybe talk about what you'll be doing on the visit-portion too. Or heck, you could plot some more here if you don't have it all worked out. All that good stuff. Feel free to link to your awesomely complex AU history that you and your partner hammered out together.

2) A thread up top for people who have unpaired characters and wanna work something out for the event. I'll even make a dandy little form you can fill out.

Name: Put your character name and journal name here!
Canon: Name that canon (and maybe link a wikipedia page or something about the canon)
Current Canon Point: Go ahead and say their canon point and elaborate on the situation they're in. Are they in the middle of a big battle? Chilling out at home? This is relevant for if someone will visit your character's world.
Looking For: Specify your interests. Do you want someone to AU to your character's world or are you interested in somewhere else? Are they certain settings you might prefer? That sort of thing.

...except in this case, that "something nice" gets given to another character of yours.

Kind of. Sort of. Claude won't even be able to call her his mom, and Shinji will be too busy angsting to ever know/care.

That depends entirely on Ilia! Shinji definitely wouldn't ask her to stay with him or invite her over or anything. To be honest, he'd probably even tell Misato she didn't have to stay with him, so...! Of course, he wouldn't really argue it if Ilia suggested it, either, so it depends on what she'd want to do.

Well, hmm. I think she actually might ask him since she does know him-- not well enough considering how they're mostly passing acquaintances, but well enough so she can at least, idk, keep an eye out for him?

Yeah, that sounds good. I was going to say that we can even bypass the whole weird "Hey, why haven't we done this before?" by maybe saying she's been worried about him since he arrived in Luceti or something, so she's only asking now. We could even play that out if you wanted! He definitely wouldn't say no, he'd just never ask since he'd feel like she doesn't "need" him here.

Hmm, is there a reason to play that out, though? Or can we just get away with HOUSEMATE shenanigans straight off the bat?

We don't have to, but it might be kind of cute. He might get a little emotional about it. :'| But otherwise, roommate shenanigans are cool. Where they stay is up to you, since Ilia is asking, but his apartment is probably pretty bare.

Obviously, we should play out Ilia attempting to cook them dinner, huh.

Hey, cute is always a good enough reason for me, you know that. B) Hmm...I reckon that since Ilia arrived later (in which by then Shinji would've procured some sort of accommodation and isn't staying at the Welcome Centre), she'd move in unless he told her straight out no! ...would he even tell her that.

Bare apartments don't bother her, I'd think. She doesn't seem like the home-y kind of person.

....oh so that's what icon I keyworded that too. Good to know.

Ilia has such a beautiful lineface.

Oh, no, he wouldn't tell her no if she wanted to! He'd just never invite anyone to stay himself because he's too shy. He would be happy if she stayed with him. So actually, in that case, we can just assume that they've been staying together this whole time, if she would've moved in straightaway! There will be other opportunities for cute, I'm sure, so it'll be fine!

It'd be a good thing that she's staying there, too, because it might actually inspire him to, you know, make it look like someone lives in his apartment. :'|

She does....! But I have no idea when I'd even use that face, I use her skit faces 99% of the time.

Ohh, I can work with that, yep! LOOK, SHINJI, YOU HAVE MORE FRIENDLY HUMAN INFLUENCE...or something. Even if she can't cook and tries really really hard.

And hey, look on the bright side, apartments looking all home-y is a good thing. At least she's not bringing him out drinking. :|

It's okay if she's useless. :| Even if she can't cook, she'd still be a better roommate than Misato, who littered the apartment with beer cans and bottles and lived off of alcohol and snacks before he came along! Shinji is actually the perfect waifu. But yeah, since he's new to Luceti, having someone from home around would make him feel so much better, just because he'd feel like he's not alone.

She had better not. 8| He is too young for things like that...! ...n-not that it would be hilarious if she tried or anything!

Being useless is so terrible, sob. It's a good thing Ilia has a better diet though, amirite. He can feel like he has a friend....?!

You can have a sip, Shinji!!

She is slightly less useless than his last roommate, so this is an improvement...!! Just don't touch the stove, Ilia. Ever.
