Okay we have had posts like this before other AUs, so let's do it again. In case you forgot, all the event details are over here. This post has two purposes:

1) Talk about your AU and what you will be doing with it. Maybe talk about what you'll be doing on the visit-portion too. Or heck, you could plot some more here if you don't have it all worked out. All that good stuff. Feel free to link to your awesomely complex AU history that you and your partner hammered out together.

2) A thread up top for people who have unpaired characters and wanna work something out for the event. I'll even make a dandy little form you can fill out.

Samurai Goroh here is going to the Final Fantasy VII world with Aerith. I have some of it typed up here, but the highlights include:

-Goroh is an ex-Wutai soldier and is something of a Robin Hood type figure in the slums now. He joins the party after preventing Aerith's death
-Personality-wise he's more or less the same. He's a little rougher around the edges, while at the same time being a few shades more heroic.
-His sense of fashion is mostly the same, though he'll be losing the hat.
-SINGLE. You may now commence swooning, all you single ladies.
-He probably races Chocobos now. That poor Chocobo...

I believe Aerith will be visiting the F-Zero universe! Which will probably consist of a lot of her wanting to go talk to as many planets in his universe as she can within 21 hours. 8|

Litchi Faye-Ling is visiting his homeworld of Strangereal. For him, he will spend 21 hours incapacitated, either through death or coma. For him, will pass pretty fast. Litchi will be spending her time hunting for him.

But that's not the AU.

Thirteen's role in the AU remains largely the same as his role in canon. The main difference is in the AU, his survival is confirmed, though Erusian military records will still list "MIA" as his status. Essentially, in this AU, while he was still shot down by Mobius One over Farbanti during the closing days of the Usean Contiental War. This time, however, by some miracle Thirteen fell from his aircraft as it was flying apart low to the ground, knocked unconscious by the tremendous G-forces placed upon him.

He then plummeted through a ramshackle roof of a homeless shelter that gave way beneath him and landed on a pile of old mattresses. That shelter was occupied by ISAF soldiers who quickly secured the now comatose, but miraculously alive pilot. Suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries, the ISAF unit quickly had him transported to an ISAF hospital.

His case, a miracle survival against all odds, caught the attention of Dr. Litchi Faye-Ling, a doctor in the ISAF military. The best of the best, she took on the case and saw to his treatments while comatose. Seven months after the conclusion of the Usean Continental War, Yellow 13 woke from his coma, greeted by Dr. Faye-Ling.

Confused and lost about his own place in the world now that Erusea had lost the war, and that he had lost everything he had ever cared about, Thirteen was left at a crossroads. He determined he no longer wished to return to his old life, and Litchi offered him a place to stay with her. With the war over and Erusea now absorbed by ISAF, the pilot had no qualms about giving life in the Independent States a try. He moved in with Litchi, eventually fell in love and married her, and makes his living in far-eastern Usea as a mechanic. Given his status as a famous Erusian ace, when they wed, Thirteen took Litchi's surname, and is now known as "David Faye-Ling."

For the most part in Luceti, Thirteen will remain the same in terms of attitude. He'll still have a fondness for guitars, flying, good booze, and movies. A major difference is that due to his injuries and prolonged recovery after the incident, David is not quite as physically fit as he once was. He continues to exercise and work out, but the scar tissue from his injuries did prevent him from recovering 100%. Most of his scars are on his body, and there are several, but his clothes keep them covered. His head was covered with a helmet and oxygen mask, so there are noticeable injuries there.

His experiences in Luceti will also largely remain the same, though his near-death experience with Mu-12 will be slightly less severe. The main difference is that he will have taken the surname "Faye-Ling" much earlier on and rarely goes by his military title anymore. During drafts, he was still an ace fighter pilot. He still remains able to fly, his instincts and skill still there, though his physical fitness prevents him from having multiple sorties in a row without rest.

Just Ginia/Alice

Helios will be AUed into being from her world, so there's only a few minor changes for Ginia/Alice.

-Ginia/Alice and Helios will have known each other for six years. Helios would have known Erika, Ginia would have known Elise.
--Because Ginia had someone there after Erika's death, and a good friend for most of her years as a hunter, she's much more well-adjusted.
--Double for Alice; having someone who is kind and regards her as a friend has really rounded her out and made her much more stable as an individual.
-Will not have the necklace Helios made her. So no talking, everything will be written/signed.
-Probably some UST between Alice and Helios

And Helios~

Helios is going through some drastic changes. Basically he will be well adjusted, a computer hacker/information gather and he will know mostly all the fandoms! He's like a computer nerd and Nero won't exist in this AU. He'll just have a nice normal family, sorta, with an older brother who still goes into law enforcement. Also Elise still dies because I'm horrible. But with Ginia, Erika, and Alice there for support Helios will definitely come out of that better.

Said death of his wife will make Helios also somewhat bitter at his elder brother, due to the terms of her death being related to his elder brother, but it's not nearly as bad as it could be.

Actually is no real change to her anyone else would notice despite this aside from maybe some very nuance things related to her, Winry, and all the stuff related to them (in terms of Luceti memories) but between everyone else being AUed that'd not going to change much.

Just Rydia

Rydia herself won't be altered much, since it's Link that's conforming to her world. She'll have known him as a neighbor/big-brother figure before Mist's burning, and a fellow survivor much later on, after she's all aged up.

The most important thing to note is that Link will suddenly be living in her house, since she would have insisted on inviting him.

That's good! Kain is going to think he's from Saleh's world and will have "met" anyone from FFIV world here in Luceti. Including Rydia! (Which is close to true anyway, since they really developed more than they ever did in-game).

So I don't think the change with Kain will alter much with their marriage.

Oh! Also, he's a Wyvern Rider now and he misses his dragon. :(

Bayley Incorporated

Tony Stark

Tony will be going back to his world with Rogue in tow, immediately making a beeline for Nick Fury and then probably doing one thing he's missed immensely while being in Luceti after realizing Fury can tell him jack about the place.

DRIVE A CAR. Really fast. And bail Rogue out of the police station when she gets pulled over for driving recklessly on her new motorcycle. :|

As for the AU part, Rogue is going to be AUed to Tony's world as Marion Stark, his adopted half-niece. Shira's laid out the deets here, but to more or less sum up Tony's side of things:

Tony adopts Marion when she's eight after finding out there's another heir to the company floating around--and surprise! She has no parents. At first he's not exactly buddy buddy--he never planned on being her parental figure, more or less just watching out for her, making sure she has a good life, etc. But he does grow to really care about her, so when she's about 12/13 and her powers manifest, he's pretty hellbent on finding a fix for her. Which is what he does until she's sixteen. On her sixteenth birthday, she tells him she wants to stop the tests, he takes it badly, and they have a falling out.

Tony delves more into his worse habits at this point while he and Marion distance themselves from each other--they just don't connect like they used to, there's a definite wall there and they hardly see each other in the house. So he knows nothing about her joining up with SHIELD until Iron Man 1 happens, yadda yadda he gets kidnapped, and Marion ends up being the one to find him in the desert instead of Rhodey.

Things get better then, and Tony's glad to have her actually be an active part of his life again, and she's alongside Pepper at the Iron Man finale. After this, Tony keeps doing his Iron Man thing while SHIELD sends Marion off to do something that isn't spying on Tony, so she won't be around to be suspicious of his suddenly strange habits because he thinks he's dying. He brushes her off, goes to Monaco, and bam, Luceti.

Stahn is taking one Caius Qualls back to his world because I hate myself. Most of the intricate details in terms of how Caius will change are up to Henru, but as for how Stahn's world changes...

- Caius hails from a small town called Armeida. It's small and in the sticks and no one cares about it. But it is on the way to the Straylize Temple, a destination of the party early in the game.
- He joins the party to assist them in getting them there, being familiar with navigating the forest and its dangers. He sticks around to help them through the temple as well, so he learns about some of the Eye of Atamoni conspiracy going on at the time, but not the full extent.
- He leaves the party afterwards, concerned about his village.
- He later rejoins the party shortly after the start of the second half, where he and Philia meet Stahn in Lienea to inform him about the theft of the Eye. He then becomes a permanent part of the party, assisting them in tracking down Leon, getting involved in the Oberon conspiracy, and ultimately taking down the Aeropolis cities and Miktran.

Harry Dresden

Harry Dresden is gonna be jumping to an AU canon with Richard Sharpe. Aly and I are still working out the details, but here's what we have so far.

- He was one of the original Chosen Men when Richard was assigned to command them
- He is one of the few literate members of the common soldiery; he and Harris occasionally engage in banter about literary figures. He has no stomach for philosophy or any of the fine arts, though, he just likes literature and poetry.
- His proper name, according to the AU, is Harold Copperfield Blackstone. Dresden didn't seem a canon-appropriate name to me, and neither did using a diminutive name like Harry as somebody's legal first name. (Blackstone is one of his middle names in his actual canon.) He still goes by Harry, and hates being called Harold.
- At Sharpe's canon point, he is one of the few surviving Chosen Men.
More details maybe later.

Rai's one pirate captain/doctor/ninja

Kain Highwind --> Saleh's World

Kain was taken in by a family in the militaristic Grado Empire. Eventually, it was noticed that Kain had a natural affiliation with dragons and aptitude for training as a Wyvern Rider and eventually he became a Wyvern Knight, following in the footsteps of his adopted father. He also hero-worshipped the Wyvern Knight Valter and always had a bit of jealousy toward him. Kain had a bit of a crush on Selena, so Valter denouncing her as a traitor made him very angry... and led to him trying to defend her and being branded a traitor as well.

To regain his honor, Kain fought for Lyon, but he refused at first to fall under the influence of the Dark Stone the man was in possession of. But when he heard of Selena's death, Kain lost it, fully becoming a minion of Lyon's through some influence by the Dark Stone (while Lyon was possessed by the Demon King). He committed a great deal of evil while under this dark influence. Kain would eventually have encountered Saleh in a boss battle somewhere. After being defeated by the party, Kain snapped out of it and realized the wrongness of what he'd done.

Terribly remorseful for his actions while following Lyon, Kain joined the party to repent for his sins. He pledged himself to the Great Dragon and went back to live in Saleh's village at the end of everything.

The main difference with Kain is, he won't be a FFIV Dragoon. He'll instead place all his pride in being a Wyvern Knight. He's still a master spear fighter, but of course his fighting style won't involve jumping. He had a dragon of his own in this version of things and will miss it a great deal in Luceti. He also had the unresolved feelings that he'd never confessed, which he's gotten over by now in Luceti. He's still married to Rydia, but he met her in Luceti instead of his own world. He's much closer to Saleh, additionally, because of getting to know him well in his world as a war comrade despite their initial meeting.

Sanji

Sanji will be AUed into the Kingdom Hearts franchise! A detailed history and personality change is here, but for those of you who want it quick and dirty...

- Sanji is now Jixsan. Yep. Name change. Calling him Sanji will likely result in confusion, dismissal, and occasionally anger... meaning he's gonna be in one hell of a mood for the duration of this plot.

- He has no heart. What this means is he lacks the ability to feel emotions! That said, he'll certainly act like he's got them, this being due to force of habit and just knowing what appropriate reactions to show. It's even possible that he feels something, it's just extremely muted.

- There will be a huge personality change, and I can't stress that enough. No more flirting, unless he's messing with your character. His rage is not going to be played for laughs in most cases. He still has the snark, but he'll turn it on everyone, regardless of gender. Chances are I'll be tracking down his main CR so we can work out if he still considers them friends or not. >>


Also, anyone playing someone from the Kingdom Hearts games is free to point out discrepancies! 8|b

Caesar Silverberg will be visiting Sylvarant with Raine, and he'll be anchored to her world. He'll have grown up as one of her students in Iselia, but that's about it. So he might recognize some people/know of things from Symphonia-verse, but he won't be like, "Hey, suddenly important canonmate!" Ultimately, it probably won't change his personality very much, having grown up there.

Claude C. Kenny will be visiting Alabasta with Vivi. I'm still working out details with this one, so I'll get back to that later. o/

Shinji Ikari will be visiting the Star Ocean universe with Ilia. He will get to ride on a spaceship and it will be awesome. >:| Ilia will be anchored to the Evangelion world (isn't she so lucky?!), so no big changes for Shinji. He might be a little more pleasant and cheerful for the duration of the event, though! At least until it's over. And then he'll be depressed and angsty but this is nothing new.

Elliot Nightray will be sitting all of this out, but I would be happy to plot out encounters with any CR that might be coming back different!

...actually, he's gonna be the one that's gonna be altered big time for this event. Deets are here, but tl;dr aside, he's going to Luke Skywalker's world and will be from the same canon point, which is about 10 years after the movies if my count is correct (the canon itself is a little fuzzy).

Before you ask, he is not gonna be a Jedi. Actually he'll be a Slicer--the analogue to a hacker in that universe. He'll have worked witht he Rebel Alliance and will be a lot calmer in personality. Less likely to troll, more likely to be a good guy who lapses into ocassional flirtations and snark.

People who didn't want to tag him before, feel free now. He'll be calling himself Red, as per his handle as a Slicer, and won't bite.

Grune

Grune will be going to Baron Castle in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years-verse! Basically, way back when, the King of Baron got himself not only +1 baby, but +1 hot amnesiac. So Grune basically was mommy to Cecil and Kain and Rosa as they grew up...she thinks. And Cecil thinks. But that's it!

She never had to fight Schwartz and never regained her memories or anything like that, so with some notable exceptions, she's had a happy carefree life spoiling Cecil and the others absolutely rotten. :Db

Re-Anchored Canon: Tales of Symphonia
Canon Point: Post-game
Age: 29 (24 at time of leaving his world, ~5 years in Luceti)

AU Information:
Found in the university town of Sybak, located on the world known as Tethe'alla, Albert was adopted and raised by his parents, a pair of Sybak professors too engrossed in their research and careers to take steps towards having a family until later in life. He lived surrounded by the educated and well-paid, and had early access to education that shapes his later years.

Also as a result of living in Sybak, Albert had closer interaction with half-elves than others may have; his father knew of with the half-elves working underneath the university and would often comment on how their differences enriched the research that they focused on. After all, half-elves understood magic and mana on a more natural level that humans could not. Thus he bears no ill will towards the half-elves, and sometimes even admires their fortitude.

Because of his interaction with half-elves within the city, he could not help but notice when some would be recruited away to join the Church of Martel. Wondering why the church would be recruiting scientists, he delves deeper and asks questions of the half-elves who are considering joining. He hears of 'Desians' and 'Cruxis' ... and of another recruiting group who opposed the Church of Martel.

Of course, his curious behavior does not go unnoticed for long, and he is caught eavedropping on a Renegade recruitment conversation. He is dragged away and interrogated, and he deduces that there is a much larger plot at work that the Renegades are aware of.

And he wants in.

While the recruiters are skeptical of bringing along the young man, it is not unheard of for the Renegades to recruit humans. He is brought into the resistance, and he leaves behind his life in Sybak to learn of the greater state of the world.

Or worlds, as he comes to learn.

Years pass, and he attains the rank of major within the Renegades through his own hard work and the leader's understanding that humans be offered the same opportunities as half-elves. It's after he has attained this higher rank that he learns that their leader is in fact Yuan, one of the Four Seraphim of Cruxis. He become further dedicated to their cause upon learning that they are supported by such a powerful individual.

For the majority of Colette's Journey of Regeneration, he is stationed in the Tethe'alla Renegades base. When the focus moves to infiltrating Rodyle's human ranch, he is dispatched to assist Botta in surveying outside movement and capturing any fleeing Desians.

Personality:
His personality remains very much the same, on a basic level; he is serious and sometimes comes across as humorless, with a distant, observant nature. He is very loyal to Yuan, though he does admit to himself that he is perhaps not ready to sacrifice himself for their cause. This discomfort is further pronounced when the events on Rodyle's human ranch take place, and it ultimately leads to a level of disgust with how life and death are treated within Luceti.

Other Changes:
-- He wears an Exsphere, located below his left collar bone.
-- He still prefers coats over cloaks, though he obviously does not have his signature coat from Suikoden.
-- Like many Renegades, he is trained in using a saber and wears light armor. He also has some skill with a whip.
-- As a human among the half-elven Renegades, he is mistaken as a Fallen, a human among Desians.
-- One of his research topics in Sybak, prior to joining the Renegades, was lightning mana and the summon spirit Volt. ...He didn't get very far into it, because he was recruited.

Batty's Busty Blonds

Winry is becoming a reoccurring extra in the AtLA series when everything goes all AU. She'll be dying her hair, and would have had a past fling with Sokka (nothing too serious though). She also might have been starting a thing with Haru, but that's moot because of all the time she's been in Luceti. She, in this AU, keeps dying her hair despite blond being normal in Luceti. It's out of habit and her attempt at keeping a sort of solidarity with her friends from "home."

Nuke's Nerds

Litchi is going to be AU'd to Ace Combat universe. Long story short, she was one of the top doctors of ISAF, nursed Thirteen back to life out of a months-long coma, and eventually ended up marrying him after his recovery. She's basically the same old Litchi, just. Bolder.

Applejack is playing host during the trip so not much will be changing for her. :V

Re: Nuke's Nerds

Asuma

HERE is Asuma's plotting post. It might get changed up a little, with minor details and such, but for the most part this is it. He's getting AU'd into the Professor Layton universe. He grew up rich, was kind of rough-around-the-edges as a kid, but ended up becoming a part of the police force despite that. Obviously he has a love of puzzle. UM...He's been a dad/brother figure for Clive for a while now, and...yeah he still dies in the end orz.

He's not all that different from his canon-counterpart, but for those that know him there will be a pretty noticeable difference: He now has a London accent. There are minor character changes, of course, but the one that will be most prominent is the accent.

I technically have to be on hiatus for the week of the event, but I still so want to play with this.

When the event is done, Shikamaru should bug him about seeing if he's still able to pull off the accent.

Fuuko Ibuki will be going along with Beast to his big old castle to get in the way and teach Belle about starfish. Also holy talking furniture and table wear.

Then she'll be getting AUed into growing up in the castle as one of Beast's servants which means she's going to end up being a talking teacup for a little while, curse be damned. This may or may not involve me shooping Fuuko's eyes onto Chip. More info on that over here. Beast-mun/People familiar with Disney's BatB are free to point out problems and give suggestions!

Yotsuba Koiwai is going off with Usagi to hang out with her friends, eat delicious food and have fun. She's being AUed to her world where she'll be more or less the same person only the biggest Sailor Moon fangirl ever. Expect her to bring up Sailor Moon and the other scouts and talk about how cool they all are. She'll also be all buddy buddy with Usagi, Ami and Rei.

Caius Qualls is visiting Er'th with Stahn where he gets a taste of what it's like to be from a good Tales game. There's still some finer details to sort out with this so I'll add more later but for now here's Kyo's info on it.

Yukio Okumura is bring Natsuno back to his world where he gets to witness all sorts of fun stuff with this guy called Todo, the Impure King and the highlight of it all him punching his brother in the face. Again there's details to be worked out with this too, specifically the AU stuff, so I'll add more once I've got back to Jelle!

Shiki is taking Kotomi with her back to her own world, and she'll use this opportunity to see Mikiya and tell him she's alright.

HOWEVER

Shiki is gonna get rooted to Kotomi's world, meaning when she returns to Luceti, she is going to be a happy, normal high school girl. YES SHE WILL BE WALKING AROUND IN A SKIRT. She'll have been friends with Kotomi for as long as she can remember, and will be absolutely stuck to her until her fake memories start fading. Her true memories will actually return to her in dreams, and she will be fighting against the whole process, because all her life she wanted to be a normal girl. She doesn't want to lose that chance. YAY ANGST.

OKAY. She's going with Sanji to OP world. When they come back, Sanji will believe he is a Nobody! (I'll leave most of those details to Marie.) But it does change Xion's story somewhat. Not a whole lot - mostly just her perception of it.

First of all, Nobody!Sanji was in the Organization, and she'll talk and act like such, and refer to him by a Nobody name. She'll not be calling him dad, obviously - they'll just be good friends. Several things will have gone differently, but not significantly so - she will believe his role in the fight against her when she went boss monster was quite different. Marie has told me the AI plot, for characters that remember that, won't have happened for Xion or Nobody!Sanji.

I haven't been able to think of other major changes yet -- OH WAIT MARIE WHEN YOU SEE THIS. What about changes to the family AU? >> I'm not sure if those would matter. Hm.

I'll add other stuff as I think about it. Mostly she'll just be insisting that Sanji was always a Nobody! Pirates, what pirates?

I"m going to keep the family AU the same, actually, because changing it is just... such a headache for all the CR involved, not just Xion. 8|a The only difference would be the backlash - he'd be infuriated at how happy he'd been, along with the reminder that he's a being with no heart, so LOL JOKE'S ON HIM. Would Xion react differently to him, seeing as he took up a parental position in her life for that instance?
