March Player Plot Interest Type Thing?

So this is a thing I've wanted to somehow make happen ever since I joined with a pony...

Yes, folks, I am talking about Winter Wrap Up.

Anyhow, to those who don't follow the show, there's a holiday/tradition known as "Winter Wrap Up" that they celebrate in Ponyville each year to mark the end of winter/beginning of spring. During the celebration ponies help clear snow, escort birds back into the area, wake up hibernating animals, build straw nests (for aforementioned birds), start planting the yearly crop, etc. Participants are divided into three "teams". Weather, Animals, and Plants Teams. (Pretty clear-cut, right?)

Of course, with "hewmons" and other creatures, and being Luceti rather than Equestria, we might have to fudge a bit. Especially with some of the weather/flying. But there could still be a day (or weekend) of snow shoveling, ice scoring, garden starting, and/or hikes through the woods in search of furry critters to "wake up"! (Plenty of opportunities for fun and lulz.)

The only catch is YOU CAN'T USE MAGIC!! (Got that? NO. MAGIC. NO CHEATING, NO MAGIC. Why? Because Earth Ponies started the tradition. Then what about the Pegasus Ponies clearing the clouds? I don't know either. Just go with it.)

The episode originally aired on Dec. 24th, but to be a bit more real-to-life, I was thinking of aiming for around March 20th (vernal equinox) or the weekend of the 16th. Or maybe later in February, depending on that pesky groundhog and whatnot? (Unless someone has a better idea for a date...? I'm pretty flexible here.)

Anyway, this is just a post to see if/how many people are interested. And for plotting and organizational purposes so I'll have some idea of what's going down before the end of winter rolls around. Yes/No/Thoughts...?

Also on the modly side of things, I don't begin planning the weather until the week before the 1st. Give me a poke around that time and I'll remember to keep this in mind when I put the calendar together.

Yeah. Well there is a thing. I've been trying to avoid any pony weather magic because I know Luceti does its own thing. And Luna already knows the moon rises and sets by itself. So I had thought of this more as a symbol/tradition/opportunity for magical friendshippy togetherness than actually trying to switch the season over.

But on that note, is there anything I should know OOCly about how Luceti might respond to a sudden effort to clear snow/ice and encourage spring to hurry it up?

And this is where I admit that I've watched every MLP episode to date and the Winter Wrap-Up one is one of my favourites XD Oh good god something's wrong with me.

That being said, I love that someone thought of this! If enough people get involved, that is, enough for almost the entire village participating, Beast can definitely be pushed into helping. He can spend the time pulling all the heavy plows for the fields and doing other... earthy things that his strength would come in handy for XP

Though participation isn't mandatory (but will be highly encouraged....?! and expected because Luna is just that way)... we'll definitely make sure that there's some loud announcement so everyone at least hears about it.

XD I would so love to see this! But work... Vash may not be so easy to talk into helping. He can be the "support" part of cheering on the sidelines and event a new job that way.

Participation isn't OOCly or ICly mandatory, of course. But even if Vash isn't interested in one of the teams, sideline support is always welcome! And it sounds ~*fun*~, so feel free to invent a CHEER TEAM or anything like that that you want. :3

This is a great idea-- And that song is stuck in my head which is wonderful. Fuuko might lend a hand and wake up some starfish! One of my other two might help out by shoveling snow and such as well.
