Hiatus

Hi! Just to let everyone know, starting tomorrow, I'll be on hiatus for a week or two, due to some RL busyness. I'll still be backtagging when/if I can, but I thought I'd err on the side of caution and call a hiatus.

Dehiatus & Luceti Projects Training log

Hey everyone!

I'm back from my hiatus for the next few weeks before I head off on a trip, and wanted to get in some RP!

Since there is a draft coming up at the end of May, I was talking with a few people involved in the Luceti Projects plot and we were thinking it would be a good idea to put up a catch-all training post that encompasses a longer period of time-- such as from April 1 to mid-May or so, which would allow characters to drop in whenever is convenient for them and also to allow for some retroactive/backdated training.

Since there are so many people involved in the plot, I wanted to get your feedback in terms of if you guys think this is a good idea. I was thinking it could be fun for some group training, and also to have a section in the log for pure instruction/training of civilians, since there are a number of characters who are signed up to serve as instructors in various martial arts/weapons/etc. It could be a good way of prepping for the upcoming draft (even though no one knows about it yet) and also just generate really fun panfandom CR! What do you guys think? Any other suggestions in terms of how the log itself is organized?

As an aside, I just wanted to let you all know that officially, in terms of leadership, "formal council of leaders with secondary/tertiary backups" got the most amount of votes. If you guys are interested in a second round of voting to pick betwen council/team leaders, please let me know and I'm sure we can find a way to set that up ICly since one way or another, leadership needs to be picked somehow especially as we're already 3 months into the plot...

So about the library

And new developments as of 5/5!
Loki murderized poor Wan Shi Tong on 5/4. The school got a bit damaged which he and Thor (let's be honest, mostly Thor) then proceed to fix.

After, in the dead of night on 5/4 (as you do), Loki goes to the library and school and uses the blood he gathered from Wan Shi Tong to ward both buildings against the owl. This will affect only Wan Shi Tong and we've discussed it OOC. The ward will prevent the owl from entering or getting close enough to damage the library or the school. There is a second line of defense as well, a machine created by Walter which creates a forcefield that prevents Wan Shi Tong from entering. There are rods planted in the ground around the library that delineate the barrier; trying to temper with them or the machine in the library will earn you a nasty shock.

On 5/5, Loki will be letting the library helpers know via journal note:
Wan Shi Tong and I had a lovely discussion. We may move the books back to the library now.

Presumably, books will be returned to the library entirely by 5/7. During the book moving process and for several days after, there will be a note on the school's door that reads:
The books may now be found at the library once more. Please enjoy them and check them out as before. We thank you for bearing with this temporary inconvenience.

For 4/25-5/4:

Wan Shi Tong showed up and said the library was his. Loki, with all the maturity we've come to expect from him, said, "NUH UH."

The Library is now devoid of all books except for a single copy of The Dungeon Master's Guide to Trolls.

All books are now at the School. So technically, Raine is now in charge of them.

The following people have volunteered to guard the school in case Wan Shi Tong tries to pull any funny business, since you know. There are kids in the school and we don't want any of them getting hurt:
Thor (Captain of the Book Guard)

Eleanor Lamb
Loki (after he's done having his massive freaking headache)

If your character would like to join in, you can go ahead and say so here--no replying to Loki's post necessary. Alternatively, if there are people who want to fight the guards, we can do a log or something! Woo!

Regardless of there being guards, anyone who is not named Wan Shi Tong will be allowed the same freedom with the books that they always had before. Some people are already planning to take books back to the library and give them back to Wan Shi Tong. Other people (mostly Zev and Loki) are planning to steal them back, so... I'm guessing it's going to kind of be a wash in that regard?

This wasn't supposed to happen...

Monday, I got a job. Yay, right? (Full time. Horrid 11+ hours, with mandatory overtime.) Makes great money, and would be completely awesome IF I hadn't turned in my application for a full time student, at a really big college, and the ONLY college I can go to to get my Forensic Chemistry degree.

So now? I'm going through sudden crisis mode, not know wtf to do. No one told me being old would be so damn confusing.

So while I figure all of this out, it's probably for the best I go on Hiatus, since I also get to go to a Convention in the middle of all this.

Rikku here, and Kohaku will be kidnapped until I return and have everything figured out. (So after the 25th.)

Sadly, I'm gonna be dropping Yuffie. I don't have the energy to keep her up. It's by luck she's lasted this far. Sorry.
