So, we'd had plans for Ukyo, Ryoga and Goku to have a friendly Christmas Day party with their friends around the holidays. But well between LJ, and my trip to the ER and subsequent too sick to deal with life, plus the move over here, all that got sidelined and didn't happen.

SO! Question for all of their friends/close CR who might have otherwise been involved in a chill party with presents and Ukyo's yummy cooking, Christmas cake and that sort of thing... do we want to still do it and just backdate the hell out of it, or should we all just say hang it, handwave and move on? I'm good either way.

Also! Right before the trainwreck that was the close of 2011, Ukyo had posted to Rydia, Rise and Suki, planning to hit them up for some advice on boys. Do you ladies mind if we continue that over here or there? I've imported Ukyo's journal so moving it here shouldn't be a problem, unless you have a preference. I'd ask individually but this seems easiest. LMK?

Hello one and all. Rise-mun has given me a great idea!

This is about the Tea Shop.

It lives above the Welcome Center and is open almost every day, serving all sorts of varieties of tea and some snacks. And you will love it if you go there.

What I need to know is do you (or do you want to) work there? And if so, how often. Being on hand to help out every once in a while is totally fine, I just want to have recorded somewhere exactly who has signed up to do that.

So! Tea shop? All the free tea you could want if you work there~

Shut up Jack it is not a brothel.

SOS-Brigade

Yeah I'm going to bandwagon and make a post with a heads up on the SOS-Brigade. I've moved all the stuff to dreamwidth here, but there's also a handful of semi-important updates everyone should bare in mind about it, if you're in the Brigade or not in it too.

1) As per Haruhi's "contest" over winter break, Azusa Miura ([personal profile] mythmaker) is the new deputy vice chief of the Brigade. I'm not announcing it in the post but it's probably worth assuming some of the Brigade might know as it comes up.

2) The renovations Brave Vesperia made to the HQ are finished as of the end of December. This means that as of now the HQ can be looked at as having this floorplan, so it's much larger than before! It is not, however, 100% furnished, so if you want to play with your character moving stuff in or seeing people move stuff in feel free. Some examples might be chairs, desks, tables, that fish tank isn't in yet, etc...

3) However, in light of the renovations being done, the Brigade now does have a front desk. This means two things - the first is that the SOS-Brigade from here on has an active Requests Page for people who want to come in and use the "services" they provide (DW's stickied posts on comms allow me to do this in good faith - just reply at that post if you want to use it but yeah) and the second is that various members might run their free time doing some shifts at said front desk outside of normal meeting times. It's not a super demanding thing, just... if you character would do it at all that would be nice to know.

4) I did bring the Brigade's OOC comm ([community profile] sosbrigadiers) to DW, so if you want to subscribe/join it that would be pretty ace.

With regards to this player plot proposed:

Okay! Now that the move is well and truly underway, I feel safe bringing this up again. As many of you know, the last time I brought this up, it was a half baked idea at best. Now, with a reasonably relaxing holiday break under my belt, here's what I've managed to come up with.

The tentative timeline for the vampire plot is as follows:

This is a tentative timeline, worked out by me. If any of you have any suggestions or concerns with this, please do let me know! I'll work it out as best as I can so everyone can work with this somehow.

The main hiccup resulting in a timeline change is going to be the 4th Wall Event, which we all want to be fun and cracktackular, myself included. I missed out on all that fun last year, I sure as hell don't want to miss it again! So whenever we find out the date for that, this timeline might be up for revision anyway.

Now, as for our participants. Here is the list I put together from my last post. Again, if I've listed your name with another character's, that means I've gotten the impression that your character's role here is tied up with another character's - a.k.a, you're going to be depending a lot on teamwork.

I've receive some additions and withdrawals since my last post, so this list has hopefully been properly edited. However, if you see your name where it shouldn't be, or don't see your name where you'd like it to be, please do let me know. A lot of people have talked to me about their desired role in this plot - I have attempted to accommodate everyone.

Now, some clarification is probably in order, at least as far as categories go. Here is what I assume each of these three categories mean, and what I assume when you put a character in one (especially if I'm not familiar with your canon).

This is a roll call for the nightclub Cloud Nine!

Cloud Nine can be found above the restaurant Seventh Heaven. They have all sorts of drinks, a small kitchen so they can serve appetizers (menu to come eventually), and have nightly performances by musicians. Barring any events or situations that might prevent the club from being opened, it's open every night from 6-10 (9 if it's a slow night or something comes up).

ALSO! There is a stage that goes unused most of the time. I am curious if there are musician-types who would like to take over the place a few nights a week or so for music and related shenanigans. Maybe a karaoke night or something, yeah? You know, for something a little more relaxed and fun. I know there's another place for such things, but it's also intended to be more high-class if I recall correctly. Let's revive Azzip's old playful and fun atmosphere!

I’m also going to put together a medical resource page, a character ‘911’ page that will list medical characters and a brief gist of their abilities for muns looking for medical characters to treat injuries for plot, or for simply letting players of our medics know which characters are using the facilities and for how long, so we can know who’s been through the clinic doors lately. Is there anything else players would like to see?

When I come back from Christmas break and all my teachers remind us "Oh, by the way! You have finals two weeks after break! 8D", and then we all hate life. So, I pretty much have to go on hiatus because WELP. Two weeks of not doing school work? I forgot everything. FML

This will only affect Ace here, and I'll be back next Thursday. After I'm done cursing all the things and hating all the lives.

But then there's that other little detail I have to deal with. So, for the two characters I apped, if they're accepted before I get off hiatus, I'll just intro them late.

I'd like to have a roll call to establish who the current Welcome Centre staff are.

Please state your character's name and when they're on duty at the Welcome Centre (morning/afternoon/evening/night shift/only comes in occasionally/insert option xyz here). Note that these shifts aren't set in stone; they're just there to provide a rough idea of who's around when. Helps with getting to know who your characters ought to know from work!
