Last plot post, I promise.

Yo, Luceti. I'm back from my hiatus and good ol' weekend of virtual beatdowns, and I come bearing owed tags and the last update for the plot happening this weekend.

This is the plot I'm talking about, so go have a read if you're interested in a plot that might have your character go nuts and attack others, or get them sick from a kind of intimidating confrontation. But hold off from signing up on that post. Or if you just want your character to have at something pretty strong in a good old fashioned fight. I'm just gonna spend this post re-elaborating on some of the points of the plot going down on Friday.

ICly, the plot is from June 15th to June 16th, but all of the actual stuff that you can sign-up for/post into on a whim will happen on the 15th. All of that seithr sickness and infections will be happening on that day, during the afternoon. The 16th is when Ragna dies, and the group is already set-up and situated for that case, so only the people in the group have to worry about that.

OOCly, both logs are going up on the 15th to save time and make things easier. In the first log, for the infections and Ragna fighting, I'm going to have a thread solely for encountering Ragna if you want to play that out. You don't have to. After that thread goes up, anyone can post anywhere in the log for whatever they need to be done during the event. I believe one such thread going up is one really freaking angry Hulk rampaging around for a little while. Use the log for infections, sickness, or what have you.

Also, don't feel that you can't interact with Ragna because you'll have to deal with the seithr ICly. Like I said in the other post, characters can interact/fight with him without being affected by it if you don't want to deal with that portion of the plot and you want something else to do in there. It's just whatever, have fun with it.

So yeah. Logs are all going up on the 15th, while the second log is set-up for the 16th ICly. I'm making an entry today for the first signs of Ragna losing control of his Azure Grimoire, and the plot's going to probably kick off on Friday without another OOC post unless I need to make another. This is already the third, and I'm pretty sure that's enough.

Feel free to sign up for and/or plot for the Seithr stuff in this post too, I'll make a thread for it in case anyone else wants to join. Don't feel compelled to sign up if you're unsure, either. You can jump in last minute on the log if you really want to. Just make sure you read the first OOC entry to get a good understanding of how that's working, right here. Then you can sign-up right here, on this post. It's more recent anyway.

Also, any questions? Feel free to ask right here.

Yes, thanks for clarifying the new sign-up spot, Zane. 8||

Signing Shikamaru up for seithr poisoning, hold the rage. It will probably take him out faster for that to take effect for reasons below...!

Seithr poisoning, as Zane described it to me, drains people of energy until they decompose and die get really sick, in this instance.

Being a ninja from Naruto, all of Shikamaru's abilities have their basis in chakra (life energy). So Shikamaru's usual schtick of holding someone off from a distance with his shadow is no good, because that shadow is pooled with his own chakra. It will be effected by the seithr around Ragna and loop right back to him, actually making it about 10x worse.

tl;dr - realized after talking with Zane that seithr poisoning is extra awful for people who use their life energy as a weapon, because it lets the seithr affect it directly. Whoops.

That said, he'd figure out it's a Bad Thing for him pretty quick, so if there's someone else around to protect/fight for to give him an excuse to do it anyways... that would be awesome. For the whole idea to work at all. XD

I think I will have Rin get sick from this, if I get him involved (because he's shounen I feel bad when he isn't involved in things so yeah) SO IF HE IS IN he will be ill. The rage thing would be a plot in and of itself so probably not that

I am getting this tiny gentleman involved. Mostly sick. What a sad state of involvement.

And then I'll just stalk the rest \o/.

NOW! As a little side note to this plot, I thought I'd also post my little side plotty thingy for the Hulk. It's probably slightly better explained here, but basically you know that Seither stuff that Ragna is gonna be spewing everywhere? Well guess what, Hulk is going to be getting a big ol' unhealthy dose of it.

And to put it simply, Hulk will be turning into a rampaging monster because of it's mind-losing effects! So, of course, he's going to need people to either fight him until it wears off, or beat him down. And once he's beaten he'll revert back to the scrawny Dr. Banner we all know and love! Now, I've been thinking about how I want to handle this, and while EMH!Hulk IS strong, he's not comic book!Hulk. While he can probably take on most, there's some people that can probably beat him single-handedly (Goku, for instance). So I'm iffy about saying only a specific group can take him down.

Since this is a sub-plot, and not the main show, I'm thinking about maybe doing multiple timelines for this one? That way people can post freely, and try to take him down. If they can't, that sucks, if they can, cool! I'll probably put an Aftermath thread in the entry too, where Bruce wakes up in the hospital? Figured that's probably needed. =|a

... Well, I've actually thought before that it would be pretty awesome to see the Hulk beat the crap out of this guy.

(Mostly to see how long he manages to actually keep the Hulk occupied trying to hit him before he got smacked into another zip code.)

Ffffff really? Well admittedly this would definitely be the time to do it! He probably wouldn't be so violent towards the guy regularly!

I imagine Obi-Wan would be able to keep up for a good while before Hulk manages to land a hit though! So by all means you can go for it once the entry is up! And if he has his lightsaber, I imagine that will hurt like hell for Jolly Green. XD

[personal profile] averybadfeeling 2012-06-12 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, no lightsabers. He doesn't want to hurt the guy, just stop him from smacking folks around. Attempting to calm him, attempting to Force-Persuade him, and when that fails, attempting to physically delay him until whatever happens fades away.

... He's not familiar with the Hulk, so he doesn't see the flaw in that plan. XD

Oh, god poor Obi-Wan.

YOU'RE TOO NICE OF A GUY, MAN. SHOULD JUST FORCE-STAB HIM WITH THE SABER! But, nah I'm more than cool with this! It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun to play out and it might give them CR for later.

...CR that might end up being awkward but ffff

I sort of can't believe I get to plot twice in one post but. I would love to take part in this too! With angsty Raven here. She might not be able to fight him off for long, even as a bird!monster, but nobody says she has to, right?

Haha I'm completely fine with this! She might not be able to hold them off, but it might give them some rather awkward CR for later on! "Uuuuh. Sorry I kinda ya know. Tried to smashed you and all that!"
