Yeah it's that re-app train again
This is Samurai Goroh. You've probably never heard of him. You may know of F-Zero though. Believe it or not, there's more to that game than Captain Falcon and his meme-tastic existence. In particular, he's from the oft-forgotten anime. Which... isn't fully translated. Yes, this is incredibly awkward, but I'm playing him from that anyway up until his last fully translated appearance. I just hate myself that damn much, apparently. (Fortunately Goroh is only in a handful of episodes, so it's not that big of a deal for me.)
Anyway, Goroh is a cool samurai dude who is also a space pirate. He's built like a tank with arms that would make the Armstrong family proud and thighs that rival even our great Chun Li. He also cut a missile in half. With his sword. While standing on top of his F-Zero Machine. His skill with the blade is so precise he can cut your clothes off into tiny shreds while leaving your underwear on and not leaving a single cut on your skin. Also, his space ship has a giant laser sword that comes out of it that he controls with his regular sword. He is built on so much BAMF that sometimes it's just a little too crazy.
Oh yeah and sometimes he races too. He's pretty good at that.
In any case, dude here has been in Luceti before and he will keep his memories. Or rather, he'll have a vague recollection of faces and places. It's been over a year since he's been in Luceti, so bear with me. And on a personal note, he may be a little different than you remember. Last time around I played Goroh as a mish mash between with his anime history and mannerisms, but lifted a lot of personality traits from his video game counterpart. This was vaguely legitimate on the basis that the tie in-game for the anime used his video game personality in it. But this time around, I'm playing him straight from the anime and discarding the tie in-game as part of his canon. So bear with me, because Goroh may not be exactly as you all remember. I've got some of my own headcanon to kind of explain away why he acted the way he did in Luceti before.
If you're curious about the anime, I've compiled some notes over here regarding Goroh's part in it. In any case, that's enough of that!
