Daisy and Haruhi CR. She can ask about the hair (which is silly because she's growing out her own)

I keep thinking I need to either get her another anime PB for long hair, or change the icons.

But inside she will silently judge you Haruhi.

At least I will get Saber CR. All will become one with Haruhi...

All hail the Haruhi...

But if her cooking isn't up to his level, she can expect to be expelled from the kitchen whenever he's not beating accidental Third Party encounters to death with a cactus.

But basically you can look at what Daisy is doing for the right idea of how to handle it.

Also, when will people who volunteered find out?

AS FOR WHEN, it will be a few days before the mission starts. I'll probably aim for the first.

Ginia has experience as a bodyguard and convoy experience in rough areas so this is up her alley. She'll have her knives on her, a handgun, and requesting a rifle for her loadout. Knows some filial magic - healing from Nala and minor speed boosts with Kipinn - and hand-to-hand too.

As for other things, she's mastered wind magic, knows some healing and fire-making. Concerning weaponry, she's going to carry a short sword, her M6D Pistol, and probably her rifle. She's going to go without armor for this mission because of the constant shifts, and will suggest carrying survival gear, just in case.
Which reminds me: Will we be able to request more things than what's marked? I've wondered whenever if she would get the chance to be given an ODST suit (a suit given to Spec Ops normal humans in the Halo universe - most elite troopers of the UNSC only below Spartans).

If you want to talk shifts, Saber can handle night pretty easily. She doesn't normally require sleep with her Servant body, so guarding at night is easy enough.

They'll also notice that Aether's fighting skill extends to absolutely anything that can be used as a weapon. His physical condition and survival skills are equally impressive, if a little different from others. He'll carry and consume about three times more water than everyone else on the team, for one. Asking him about it will earn a dismissive comment about him not being quite human, but he'll avoid providing further info unless pressed.

Amelia's a zero on magic, but she's a really good shot and also good with hand to hand, both consequences of being a professional bounty hunter back home. Also, canon shows she's an ace driver on desert terrain. She'll have her personal rifle with her, along with a hand gun.
Amelia might actually be one of the better ones for the day, since her home planet is a desert with two suns. The heat isn't going to bother her nearly as much (to the contrary, she's going to be damn happy to be out of the cold), but she'll go with whatever the group decides.

I'm asking this because Saber has a special sheath called Avalon. If she's close to anyone who is carrying it on their body (and it can even be magically inserted into someone's body as well if need be) it can act as a protective healing agent. Your body will still suffer pain if damaged, but it will heal a lot faster than normal if she is close by the holder.
She'll likely bring it with her for the sake of better guarding a person, but it can only affect one person at a single time.

So here goes.
First of all, Aether talks to his weapon a lot. He always carries a black sheath on his person and paying attention to him will reveal that he tends to mutter things at it whenever he thinks no one would notice. He's especially prone to doing it whenever he's on edge. If there was a fight or a major problem during the day? You can bet that he's going to sit somewhere in the corner and hold entire conversations with his sword, often reacting as if it actually responds. ( It does, but that's not what we're here to talk about. )
If a fight does break down and a Shift won't keep him from using his weapon, someone might hear him address the weapon by name in order to activate it. The standard sword shape is named Arondight; while it's not the only one, it's the one Aether uses the most due to his affinity with it.
So far, Kida Masaomi is the only one who knows this bit about Aether's weapon. He didn't pay much attention to it, but I figured someone else might.
Another thing worth noting is that Aether will always prioritize his team's safety over anything else. He is pretty much obsessed with never leaving anyone behind and will move in to air or protect other party members even if the decision looks hopeless or suicidal, as well as terrify someone in the process.

Still, I'd rather have your permission for it. Maybe the shifts of the desert muck her senses more than usual or she's just too focused on the problems ahead to pay attention to mutters.
no subject
And yes, she's completely free to notice. Aether will act fairly dismissive if confronted about it and try to dismiss it as moments of stress, but Daisy is free to think different and research the sword's name once she's back in the village.
