Hello, guys,

I'm Lisie and I'm brand new to the game. Some of you I've met before; those I haven't, I look forward to playing with you.

Umi convinced me to app Marcello from Dragon Quest 8. He's a corrupt and ruthless captain of an order of Templar who's back-stabbed and murdered his way to being his world's version of the Pope. He sees his reasons as good and justified; yet he's blinded by his ideals into finding it perfectly acceptable to get rid of the nobility by having them thrown in prison, murdered or executed as a public example.

He's the opposite of his brother, Angelo, in that he doesn't flirt, doesn't gamble and has a deep enjoyment of books. He is well-versed in scripture and the history of his world; he also reads grammar, rhetoric, logic, astronomy, philosophy and mathematics. So he's something of a bibliophile. Look at how polite he is in this icon. You'll trust him, right?

Given he's a templar, he's likely killed some demons on his world... where he was also an Inquisitor. Would be interesting to see how he takes to someone who is part-demon.

THAT SAID I do think it would be interesting if these two teamed up, especially when Serph has canonically been lead around by the nose a few times. Their interests (and sometimes methods) actually align surprisingly closely.

I also think the same. It would be interesting to get into an in-depth discussion on that, since we've never really had a proper chance.

Well, Peony isn't Angelo so that's immediately in his favour.

Marcello isn't a carefree fun-and-lady-loving guy, sadly. Personal reasons as well as it just being his nature. So he might bring the party mood down. Though I see him being civil and polite and just judging Peony so hard behind the scenes.

Dragon Quest 8 was the first released here [the EU]. Fell in love. Hopefully our threads will give some good reading. They might start getting along due to a mutual appreciation of knowledge and books. Although Marcello's obstinacy and world views miiiight put a spanner in the works.
