Goodnight sweet prince
So this. Probably doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone considering how quiet I’ve been with her these past few months (almost a year as sad as that is), but after staring at this drop post for days and thinking about it for months, today I’m dropping Naoto Shirogane from Luceti.
She’s been in Luceti for almost 3 years now (her next Lucetiversary would’ve been March 12th :c) and it was the first game I apped to on LJ with her. I’ve seen Naoto develop in ways I never expected, I’ve seen her make her own detective agency, I’ve seen her fall in love with someone and make some of the greatest friends she’s ever had that left the world’s biggest impact on her (perhaps even space whale big). But… unfortunately a lot of her important CR dropped a while back and all in all it shot my motivation to do her tags completely and when I try it’s all talk and no action. So, as much as this is tearing me apart as I type this because it terrifies me to give everything I’ve worked to get for her up, I think it’s time for me to rip the bandaid off and let go before I’m drained completely and never want to touch her again.
In her room her castmates are free to find a few things left behind:
- A small box on her desk and in it are 4 sealed letters with names written neatly on each (Kanji, Yukiko, Yu and Ventus) and a box attached/addressed to Ven which contains her and Roxas' detective badges as well as her necklace which is in it's original black case
- A few thick stacks of paperwork, notebooks and binders on her desk containing all the research she and Roxas did over the years (there's a lot)
- A small leather journal filled with stories that Sora told her.
- The guitar and song Rise wrote and left for her resting against and on the bed as though she were just playing it
- A framed picture of the IT on her desk that looks as though it's been taken out before and is slightly worn from being opened and folded a few times
And my castmates are free to decide what they would like to do with Nea and Kuzunoha.
And… that’s it. This is it. Please hover remove or manage_circle del_read fortuneprince before I change my mind. Maybe I’ll have Naoto return after a good long break and a canon review but until then, this sweet prince can finally get her good night’s sleep.
