Starting Radio Mode
Hello everyone! I’m Sue, and this here in the parentheses is my buddy Reina, coming to you with a pair of characters from the radio play/fitness app known as Zombies, Run! The punctuation is actually a part of the title, by the way. Neither of us expect you to run.
(However if you are in a situation dealing with a zombie it is a good idea to run from said zombie. Anyway it’s a good app/game!)
Good as it is, it’s an obscure canon, and Reina and I are going to just be making matters worse by playing a pair of characters from the side content - the hosts of the radio show at the end of theuniverse world, Eugene Woods (that’d be me, Reina) and his partner Jack Holden. As the title implies, they come from a canon that features a plague-induced zombie apocalypse prominently, so they have come in on the heels of the perfect draft. Luceti will be quite a bit cozier than their last home, a tenuously-sustained survivors’ compound known as Abel Township, and for living witnesses of the collapse of civilization itself, they should acclimate nicely! Want to tell the game about everyone’s favorite lopsided Canadian, Reina?
(Sure! Eugene is a pretty normal fellow, working prior to the zombie outbreak as a journalist who was dispatched to write articles about a phenomenon of street vendor’s food-- namely, pop-up restaurants! He’s also the less boisterous of the pair but don’t let that fool you. Generally he’s a nice guy so feel free to come by and chat him up!)
Unfortunately, Eugene comes standard with a chatty, snarky, music-loving do-nothing more than four years his junior. Jack is a sociable and helpful fellow, and will be more clearly so when the anarchy-fueled paranoia and bewilderment wear off a little - he’s really quite a good person underneath the protective and ever-so-punchable smirkiness. One more thing - both characters are very pop-culture-savvy in their canon, and could be expected to recognize a number of popular characters. For this reason we’ve put up a 4th wall permissions post for the purposes of working out who would and would not have problems with being recognized. We’re sure that Jack and Eugene would for the most part simply be stupid grinning fanboys and observe a bizarre Prime Directive in regards to not belching canon spoilers all over everyone, but we’d like for everyone to be as comfortable as possible too.
