Welcome Center Volunteers, may I have your attention please?

Hi!

Since Rydia stepped down from the Welcome Center a few months ago, the question has risen as to who is 'in charge' of it. And a list of who is still working and how and during what shifts would be super helpful too!

So far the responsibilities that have been collected are:

- Maintaining Toph's 'New Feather' Station
- The New Feather Party!
- Maintaining a list of occupied/unoccupied apartments
- Maintaining/keeping copies of more detailed maps (and a large map)
- Instructions on finding the Guide if New Feathers haven't found it yet
- (Something not mentioned/I'm forgetting???)

Katara would like to 'take charge' of it for a little while, and I've got some fun ideas for her to implement, but she obviously wouldn't have to be and while she's been in Luceti for a while, she has only been working in the Welcome Center for the last two months, so anyone who has seniority can feel free to claim it instead! And she'll just come to you with those ideas, and hopefully we can implement them together.

So... Welcome Centre Role Call, go go go!

Gore, I feel like I should know this already, but what hours does Aang work there? What days?

Oh, well I'm terrible and haven't been very specific about that. But usually I mostly think he spends about an hour or so there in the afternoons. I'd say... maybe Monday, Wednesday and Friday? Basically I mostly think of it as not an everyday first priority thing, and when he has free time with nothing specific to do, the Welcome Center is among the places he'd hang around to spend time.

Hey, Jon!

Pinkie Pie is an AWESOME organizer for parties, and that is so, so not Katara's thing. Even when Rydia was running the center, the parties were often organized by different individuals, so if she WANTS to lead a project - particularly parties - that would be freaking awesome.

WE TALKED ABOUT THIS but yes, Pepper would volunteer for all things organizational. She just can't right now because she's recovering. But she'd be willing to help with whatever she could from home?

If Pepper wants to help with the keeping track of rooms and things, that is totally a thing she can/should be doing. Has she started officially clocking time there?

I have not addressed this icly! After that things pretty much got insane for her (as you well know), so she definitely intended to. If you're good with handwaving and saying she did, that's great by me? Otherwise we can figure out a way to work something out.

I mentioned this to Masa before I apped Selphie back in because I was informed by other sources that there was no one leading the Welcome Centre and while I haven't really done anything about that ICly and if it was okay with the other muns whose characters volunteer there, I could have Selphie take charge of that after Katara? o.o

Are all the muns on plurk or aim at the moment? Maybe we could talk about this and throw some ideas around.

Hey Jay!

The one thing I'd hesitate to say YES to this is - well, two things, actually:

- I don't like to say FOR SURE how long this is gonna be for her. Ideally I'd say a few months, but you know how these things develop, and I don't want to make any guarantees I couldn't keep. But we can easily work towards some kind of collaborative deal?
- We haven't heard back from everyone who works in the Welcome Center yet. Some people with different timezones, ect ect, so I really want to wait on that before deciding anything.

And group plurks to chat things out in livetime are always a great idea! AS WE ARE DISCUSSING NOW.

Do you know when his shifts usually are, Levy? Does he like mornings, afternoons, just come on during the busy season, ect...?

Or just show up, because I get the feeling that the schedule's actually pretty loose.

Nephry's been off-and-on doing things there since the Kin'cora incident, and she'd be more than happy to take over some of the In Charge duties. It'll feel like home!

What kinds of things do you have in mind, Vil? We've got a sort of TENTATIVE plan worked out pending 'everyone chimes in' but are you meaning things just like - talking with people?

Ahh, well, Hayate doesn't really do any of the things on that list, but he does help with cleaning the Welcome Center and keeping it tidy..! That's about it though. |D;

YES! It's marked on the map, several 'rockline/cavelike' structures one of our previous Tophs built - I think it was Ivy? - and the Welcome Station keeps them supplied with imperishable food and other survival necessities.

YO. I've been operating under the assumption that Emil mainly works there during New Feather cycles in the afternoons after school and sometimes on the weekend. When he's needed, basically.

I think I will have Ling Yao start working there, although I guess the idea would have to be put in his head, so there'd need to be either an announcement or just talking to Katara or something at the Welcome Center. Easily doable. He's been needing some kind of dayjob and this is one of those things he'd be actually good at.

Awesome! It could easily come up when Katara goes to tell Raine she won't be attending morning classes anymore. Ling could notice, ask her, ect. BOOM.

Thinking of any particular shift for him?

Kouki's not really in "charge", just coming by and help take care of the plants (due to old and dropped CR, Shirayuki, being a friend). So Katara might've seen him come by from time to time, if you like.

Souji's been working there since the beginning of the Welcome Centre, but he works the graveyard shift - 11PM to 5AM so it's unlikely he's met many people unless they come in late at night. |D He doesn't really want to take over, but he does tend to take care of the kitchens in case people want to be confused over why the area is weirdly spotlessly clean.
