Mission Update

Third Floor Revisited - Begins 22nd
Selected Volunteers: Shikamaru (field leader), Tony Stark (hacker), Mia (healer), Tear (healer), Melaka, Sheik, Kazooie, Freyjadour, Caius, Joshua Bright, Jubei, and Leonhardt

I've bumped this latest one up to twelve people. Another mission will be up for next month, but I'm going to hold off posting it. The missions are still a work in progress, so I'm working on finding the right pace for them to keep them relevant and fun.

As before, you may use this post to plot and discuss! The log will go up either tonight or tomorrow morning.

LOOKS GOOD TO ME, EL CAPITAN. Do we know anything in particular about the Malnosso security systems? Also, I would not be surprised in the slightest if Tony tries to tamper with the droids a bit--nothing too serious, because he wouldn't want to jeopardize the mission, but if we want to play with that somehow, there's that!

Not yet, thought the mission sign-ups does say that the hacker is needed because the security system is breaking down and all the old passcodes are being scrambled.

I imagine more info will come up when the log goes up, but if it doesn't, we can ask the mods. 8|a

ALSO. Shikamaru will probably tell him to knock it off if he catches him, even if he gets why he's doing it... unless something goes wrong with the droids (there was a note in there about shifting being ineffective and since the droids RUN on Shifting, I think he's worried they may malfunction/be turned against them). In which case he can go for it. 8|b

He'll probably convey that worry to Tony too, because after the Locked post and what he learned from Daisy (stuff we can assume he passed on), he'll get what he means.

Ah, that's right. The horrors of the droids turning against them. :| Yes, Tony would go all out in that case, and definitely take one apart as much as he can. It's only self defense, eh? But that'd be the only case in which he'd actually try to disassemble one, I think. Otherwise, he'll just be...observing them. Carefully. And suspiciously.

And yeah, Tony would have definitely shared what he learned from Daisy with Shikamaru. Will Shikamaru try explaining any of that to the team, or would he only bring it up if the droids did start malfunctioning? Or even then?

If the droids starting acting weird, he'll probably tell the rest of the team. I don't think he'll try before because I assume they'll be with the Malnosso before they get to the building, so even telling Tony might be risky. If there's someone rogue there, he doesn't want to give them any ideas. >>

Observing is good, very good. They can wtf over the new model. (...if we get the new model - 'tis hard to tell with the way that's worded)

Excellent point. So it won't become known unless it absolutely necessary.

And yes, we might have to ask about the droid models! Tony will be recording their movements and behaviors on his HUD, so he'll have a nice little database of observational data by the end of this. And if nothing else, he can come out with that.
