Mission Update

Third Floor Revisited - Begins 22nd
Selected Volunteers: Shikamaru (field leader), Tony Stark (hacker), Mia (healer), Tear (healer), Melaka, Sheik, Kazooie, Freyjadour, Caius, Joshua Bright, Jubei, and Leonhardt

I've bumped this latest one up to twelve people. Another mission will be up for next month, but I'm going to hold off posting it. The missions are still a work in progress, so I'm working on finding the right pace for them to keep them relevant and fun.

As before, you may use this post to plot and discuss! The log will go up either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hell yeah. I am totally for this.

Might be worth noting that Kazooie's Grenade Eggs are good for crowd control if they can get up barriers against the splash damage. (Joshua and Leonhardt's orbments might be able to help with this.) And she can carry other teammates, both for tandem attacks/strategies and in case another teammate is too injured to walk.

If anybody thinks their character would react poorly to Kazooie, feel free to say so! (She'll... snark a lot, to be fair, but will generally behave herself for this.)

I was going to say, the fact that she can carry teammates might be stellar - I mentioned to Mia's mun way below that he might need to call her ahead from time to time.

Probably not react poorly, but if she's every bit as obnoxious as you make her sound, chances are Sheik will not like/get along with her as well and might come off a bit rude toward her as a result. He doesn't generally like cartoony-type characters very much. I promise you he'll behave himself also due to the nature of the task ahead of them but yeah. Fair warning.

She can totally be obnoxious, yeah. She's not usually downright malicious, and she's going to have something else to snark at that's not other people usually (namely, their situation), so that might temper things a bit... but, no problem either way! o/` She'll be too busy fighting the bad guys they're against to cause too much trouble.

All right, cool. I don't think it should be too bad, since yeah, there is the focus of the mission and fighting bad things and all. But I figured just in case, since an annoyed Sheik is also a cranky and kind of mean Sheik.

Yep, if they get a few seconds warning both Joshua and Leonhardt can get Earth Guard/Wall in since both are fast casters and that would make all the people nearby immune to the next hit. They have plenty of range with their arts too so they can easily support other groups as well.

Nadia already noted it, but yeah. Earth Guard/Wall should work perfectly for dealing with splash damage from the Grenade Eggs. With both Leonhardt and Joshua casting, it shouldn't be hard to shield everyone quickly so long as they're not standing too far apart from each other, I think. And even then, that'd just require casting a few more times.

As for reactions to Kazooie, well... we already talked about that. Joshua probably won't mind her behavior all that much (if at all), but the whole "talking cartoony bird" thing will definitely throw him off a little, at least initially. Which... probably translates to a bit of weirded out staring in response to some of her abilities, more likely than not.

I offer no apologies if Mia thinks Kazooie is in the Wonder Bird family at first and tries to freeze her over. Those things can revive each other.

This will be hilarious. Though let's hope she doesn't do it during the mission... LOL
