Signing up Shikamaru for seithr poisoning because panfandom geekiness. Just sickness though - it'll probably take him out faster than any rage could set in.
Shikamaru's usual schtick of holding someone off from a distance with his shadow is no good, because that shadow is pooled with chakra (life energy), thus being effected by the seithr around Ragna and looping right back to him.
tl;dr - realized with Zane that seithr poisoning is extra awful for people who use their life energy as a weapon. Whoops.
That said, he'd figure out it's a Bad Thing for him pretty quick, so if there's someone else around to protect to give him an excuse to do it anyways... that would be awesome. For the whole idea to work at all. XD
